Outstanding GCSE results at Teignmouth Community College

Having achieved an amazing 11 GCSE passes all at grade A*or A, Anna Baumgart and Hannah Pyne were just two of the many students celebrating today at Teignmouth Community College.  Results were outstanding for this group of 180 Teignmouth youngsters with 84% of them gaining at least 5 passes at C grade or above and over 62% achieving top grade passes in English and Maths. All subject areas achieved highly this year, especially the College specialist subjects of Maths and ICT: other core subjects did equally well, with science achieving over 80% passes at C or above and English over 72%.  It is also particularly rewarding to celebrate further success in the Creative Arts, following last year’s unprecedented 100% pass rate at the highest grades in Drama.  This year, this magnificent feat was achieved in Art, with Photography, Media and Music, not far behind.  History and textiles too achieved 90% passes at C or above.

In fact, Samson hasn’t just achieved one he achieved two A* he also bagged two A grades to boot. Tom Stone achieved an A* in Media Studies and Megan Robbins secured an A* for Photography. He is one of many proud and excited students at Teignmouth Community College to achieve the results they hoped for and secure their hard won place at University. Teignmouth Community College staff are delighted to have achieved a 100% percent pass rate at A2, the second part of the two year A level course.
